PRACTICING AT HOME

Every Yoga teacher would tell you that the most important practice you can do is your home practice. Why? Because only then can you really be in a private and intimate coversation with yourself. And besides, doing a little bit every day can be much more effective than doing a lot once or twice a week. Because when you are practicing true Yoga, you do not only train your body, but also your mind, your emotions and your authenticity in life.


UNDERSTANDING THE PHILOSOPHY OF YOGA

Practice and Theory, like all dualities, work together in unison. Without the theory behind it, practice looses a lot of value and depth and is easily misunderstood. Without the practice, no theory can really take effect and looses its function.

This is why I have included plenty of content about the philosophy of yoga. You will learn about its history and meaning and understand its most important texts - the Yoga Sutras and the Bhagavad Gita.


CHAKRA JOURNEYS AND DEEP RELAXATION

Meditation is a crucial part of any true Yoga practice. But simply to sit and try to calm the mind often does not work. We have to prepare the mind and the body first. Aside from our Asanas (which prepare the body), and our Breathing Practices (which prepare the mind by strengthening the nervous system), we will approach the world of our unconscious mind through guided journeys and deep relaxation practices. At the same time, you will work with the themes of each individual chakra, which, in the end, will give you a holistic and tangible tool for healing

Body

You will build up slowly and steadily, from the basic techniques of breathing and posture to a solid daily practice of approx. 30 min (more or less) that you can easily remember and modify to your own needs.


Mind

With presentations on the history and philosophy of Yoga you will gain a much deeper insight into what you are actually doing and why. We will draw inspiration authentically and directly from the classical texts.

Soul

Guided meditations and deep relaxation journeys using the Chakra system and Yoga Nidra will give you a deep sense of wellbeing that will have a positive impact on your mental & physical health.
